MEN'S SKIN CARE

Man. So strong, fearless and resilient, yet gentle, sensitive and vulnerable at the same time. Well, at least when it comes to their skin. We've given them a few lines and tips to make their daycare easier and to offer quick and easy fixes for best results. Just the way men like it.

Although men's skin is generally extremely durable and undemanding, this is not the case. It's true that men's and women's skin differ in many ways, but that doesn't mean men don't need a little bit of support, care and protection here and there.

“Because I enjoy cycling in my spare time, my skin is dry and very sensitive, especially in winter. I have always loved using Hemptouch Soothing Balm, both for me and for my daughter. I like it because it soothes redness in an instant and protects the skin from the cold. ”~ Marko Sladič, director and co-founder of Hemptouch

What is the difference between men's skin and that of women?

  • Men's skin is thicker,
  • has a higher density of collagen,
  • increased secretion of sebaceous and sweat glands,
  • blush faster

Most of these properties are due to hormonal action.

For women, estrogen helps in the formation of collagen, but it collapses during menopause, which contributes to making the skin drier and less elastic and the appearance of the first wrinkles.

Men's skin is predominantly affected by testosterone, which is responsible for the increased skin volume.

Nature is very favorable to the male population when it comes to aging, as the wrinkles on their faces creep later than the fair sex, but the aging process is even faster. A factor that greatly affects the condition of the skin is also shaving, where in addition to the hair, we inadvertently remove part of the surface layer of the skin, which causes many micro lesions, cuts, inflammation and in some places ingrown hair. That's why men's skin needs additional care and help to stay calm, healthy and young for as long as possible.

How to ideally take care of the skin first, during and after shaving?

Step 1: Clean the skin twice a day with Face Cleansing Gel, also recommended after sports. It is especially important to use a cleansing gel before shaving, as clean skin has significantly less inflammation, ingrown hairs, and shaving itself is much easier. It is advisable to shave immediately after a shower or to pre-wash the face with warm water to soften the hair and facilitate shaving.

Step 2: After shaving, rinse your face with cold water to close the pores. Apply the soothing CBD Balm to the still slightly damp facial skin, the bravest can pre-apply the moisturizing essence for a radiant complexion, the perfect first moisturizing step that soothes, hydrates and invigorates the skin. It is a completely non-greasy, fast-absorbing product that does not contain alcohol, which by the way is quite unfavorable for men's skin after shaving. Alcohol is responsible for further drying of the skin, clogging of pores and accelerated hair regrowth after shaving.

The hero of the aftershave is the CBD Balm

  • Hemp oil restores skin lipids and helps maintain skin hydration.
  • CBD soothes irritated skin and soothes redness.
  • Essential oils of chamomile and lavender soothe the skin and support the regeneration process.
